Show Our Neighborhood Street Trees Some Love

Come out and join us, bring the entire family and be a part of our neighborhood community service day.

Neighborhood Street Tree Care Day — Sunday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Together we will help clean up, mulch and water 150-plus beloved street trees surrounding Elizabeth Street Garden, including those in DeSalvio Playground. No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Open to the public and FREE.

Meet in the Garden at 10 a.m. for coffee and bagels, and from there we will fan out in teams to tend our street trees.

If you are a resident, building owner, or local business who would like to help care for and “adopt” a tree in front of your building, please let us know by emailing [email protected].

Friends of Elizabeth Street Garden received a 2015 MillionTreesNYC Mini-Grant — one of ten and the only one awarded in Manhattan. MillionTreesNYC is a PlaNYC initiative with NYC Parks and New York Restoration Project.
