Attend the LMDC Hearing to Save the Garden From Destruction!
Sep 17 @ 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Friends of Elizabeth Street Garden face a real threat that the Garden could be razed for development, but we can stop it with your help.

1. Attend LMDC Hearing — Thursday, Sept. 17, 4:30 – 7 p.m.
Wear GREEN. Arrive before 6 p.m. to make an impact!
Location: Borough of Manhattan Community College Fiterman Hall
245 Greenwich St., 13th Floor
(Barclay Street side entrance, two blocks north of World Trade Center)

2. Take three minutes to write a letter of support using online templates.

Background: Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) is considering a grant to New York City Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) for an affordable housing project at Elizabeth Street Garden. LMDC will hold a public forum Thursday to hear comments regarding potential projects to be supported with federal funds. Members of the public are invited to share their ideas and comments with LMDC at this public forum. For additional information and FAQs, visit elizabethstreetgarden.org.
